Suzy and 1 year-old Julianna visited us this weekend from Wisconsin. It was great to see them and fun to watch the kids get to know each other. Julianna is such a little sweetie. There were moments where she had a horrified oh-my!-Life-at-my-house-is-not-this-crazy look on her face, but overall I think she had a good time. We had a dance party organized by Nathan, visited the botanical gardens and went out for ice cream. We must have pooped them all out because all three kids took long naps yesterday so the adults got some down time as well. It was great to have some more girls in this house!

Secret Admirer?
About a week before my birthday, I got my first copy of the magazine “Budget Travel” in the mail. One more has arrived since then and I love it. It has lots of great info for many places I’d love to visit, and hopefully will visit sometime in the future. I expected I would get a message from the generous giver on my birthday, but no one took credit. Then this weekend, I received a package sent via Royal Air from London. A beautiful, unique bracelet with gorgeous chunky beads in bright colors… I love it! But again, no card, no message, no packing slip, no one took credit whatsoever. So I think I have a very thoughtful, generous secret admirer ![]()
If you sent me one of these gifts, please let me know so I can thank you. If you didn’t send me a gift, but wish you had, now would be a good time to take credit
Snow Day!
Finally! We are getting some snow! It only took until February. Michael and the boys are all home celebrating the first snow day of the year, but I, unfortunately work at a hospital which gets busier during slippery, icy weather. So I am headed into work. Nathan was in my room at 6 am this morning dancing and singing, “It’s a snow day! It’s a snow day! It’s a snoooooow daaaaaay!”. Hopefully, the snow will stick around long enough for me to get a chance to play in it, too. I hope you are enjoying some beautiful, fun winter weather!
26.2
Michael completed his first full marathon this morning in the Detroit Marathon. It was a VERY cold morning, he said he didn’t get warmed up until about the 16th mile, but he finished and he looked great when we saw him at the finish line.
Nathan and Ryan cheered for Daddy…. Nathan started screaming “Go Daddy!!!” about 45 minutes before we actually saw him…. I’m surprised he didn’t lose his voice!
Look at the size of the medal!!!
Congratulations Michael!!!
